more details:

This program is designed to teach experienced scaffold builders the scaffold fundamentals and proper system scaffold inspection procedures. After you successfully complete this program you should be competent to erect, supervise the erection of and properly inspect system scaffold applications. To complete this class, you will need to read the fundamentals and the competent person manuals. You should complete the activities found in both books and make sure you bring your books to class with you.

During the class review, you will be able to ask any questions you may have regarding the course material. Students that do not achieve a passing score will be allowed to retest within one year at no additional cost. For the final exam, you will be given a multiple-choice written exam that is based on scaffold scenarios where the competent person must decide the proper course of action.

A grade of 70% or better is required for passing. The entire class should last approximately 8 hours with a break for lunch. The hands-on portion of the class will require you to erect & dismantle frame scaffold components in various designs. Please come to class with proper attire, hard hats, gloves, and work boots. Tools will be provided for your use in the class. All course materials are copy-written by the Scaffold Access Industry Association, so any copying of materials is forbidden.
